Our Lab has been awarded a R01 grant from the National Cancer Institute to infer cancer evolution from DNA data.
We have been awarded a grant (R01CA310281) from the National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA. This will be a collaboration between Khanh N. Dinh as lead Principal Investigator, Marek Kimmel at Rice University as Multiple Principal Investigator and Benjamin Izar at Columbia University Irving Medical Center as Co-Investigator. We seek to develop bioinformatic software to uncover tumor clonality and ongoing expansion from genomic snapshots, toward understanding the evolution of de novo and metastatic cancers. Our proposed tools will be designed to advance diagnostic accuracy in the clinic, improve personalized treatment and enhance prediction of patient outcome.
